Dr. Gongpil Choi is currently a director at the KIF Center for Finance and Technology and the Asian Prime Collateral Forum, and a non-executive director at the Export-Import Bank of Korea. He worked as the CSO, CRO at the Woori Financial Group from 2008-2009. His prior experience includes positions as a senior economist at the Federal Reserve Bank of San Francisco, local consultants at World Bank and ADB. He graduated from the University of Virginia with a Ph.D. in Economics. He is the recipient of the Maekyoung Economist Award for his work on the implications of the capital adequacy of Korean banks.
