Intro

Beyond Korea major companies, securities firms and PE are expanding their investment channels 

to overseas. In fact, Samsung Electronics acquired Harman, which is a parts manufacturer for electric vehicles, 

for KRW 8 Trillion, and CJ Group acquired Schwan's Company. 

Although M&A or investment in foreign countries is taking place in earnest, there is still a lack of information 

and know how related to major companies. Therefore, the A&D conference set the topic 

as “Expand the Territory of Investment.“ It will invite practical cross boarders overseas experts 

and domestic experts to discuss their opinions.

Already in advanced countries such as the United States, both the entire city 

and the businesses revived to cross-board M&A applying the Corporate Regeneration Method. 

However, in Asia, a variety of portfolios held P.E are under way, such as a “Secondary (PE to PE investment repurchase) cross-boarding M&A, rather than an open sale method. 

The plan and the opportunity of cross boarder M&A strategy which is still in its early stages in Korea will be delivered through global experts. It is expected that it will serve as an opportunity for major pension funds, 

IBs and capital market officials to gather compasses for investment in the low interest trend.
