Professor, Korea Maritime and Ocean University
Prof. Heesung Yun is currently in charge of the Dept. of Maritime Finance at the Graduate School of Maritime Finance, KMOU.
He obtained a Master’s degree in Shipping, Trade, and finance from Bayes Business School, City, Univ. of London, and acquired Ph.D. in maritime finance from KMOU.
His professional career with SK Shipping and HMM has deepened his understanding of shipping practice and management.
During his time at the Korea Maritime Institute, he utilized his practical knowledge and experience to develop maritime policies for the Korean government. His research interests include converting practical topics into academic research in the fields of shipping market forecasting, the application of AI-based analysis to shipping, shipping derivatives, etc.
