Research Fellow, Korea Economic Research Institute
Taekyu Lee is a research fellow at Korea Economic Research Institute (KERI, www.keri.org). He earned his Ph.D in Economics at the University of Texas at Austin where he served as an instructor at the Economics Department prior to joining KERI. His research covers various areas such as financial systems and supervision, industrial policy, and growth strategy. He also served as Director of Division of Planning & Coordination and Division of Future Strategy at KERI. He writes for various press and also he is a regular columnist for the Financial News. He is a member of the Committee for Performance Assessment & Compensation at the National Pension Service of Korea. He also served as members for the various Korean government committees including the Financial Advisory Committee at the Financial Supervisory Service, the Advisory Committee at the Supreme Court, etc.
