Taeyoon Sung is a leading economist in the aspect of Financial Economics, International Economics, and Macroeconomics. He received his Ph.D in Economics in 2002 at Harvard University after his Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Economics at Yonsei University and. He is a Professor of Economics in the School of Economics at Yonsei University, and also serving as the Dean of Underwood International College at Yonsei University. He worked as Fellow at Korea Development Institute, a policy research institute and as a professor at Korea Advanced Institute of Science and Technology (KAIST). He has remarkable academic publications in international journals such as Journal of International Economics, Journal of International Money and Finance, International Tax and Public Finance, Research Policy, Industry and Innovation, Economics Letters, Fiscal Studies, Journal of Business Research, Emerging Markets Review, Developing Economies, Emerging Markets Finance and Trade, Pacific-Basin Finance Journal etc., and received various academic awards including the ‘CheongRam’ Award of the Korean Economic Association that is given to an academic scholar in economics under the age of 45 with the most outstanding academic research record in Korea.
