Roland Hinterkoerner

Roland Hinterkoerner joined Orfi Capital as a partner to develop the portfolio management activity and contribute to the firm’s macro fixed income views. Roland started his banking career at Deutsche Bank where he worked in equity, fixed income and derivatives areas mostly in Japan. He then held senior positions at UBS and BNP Paribas before joining the Royal Bank of Scotland to help build the debt capital market business for corporate clients in Europe. In 2008, Roland relocated to Hong Kong where as Managing Director he headed the Debt Capital Market activity for Asia and positioned the bank as a top 5 ranked bond house in the region. He also headed RBS’ Corporate Advisory function bringing macro and sector knowledge to the bank’s largest clients and was a member of the bank’s regional capital allocation committee until 2016. More recently Roland started his own online financial publishing activity which is widely read in Hong Kong and throughout Asia. Roland holds degrees in business administration and international politics from Johannes Kepler University in Austria and Syracuse University in New York.
