William Pesek
Executive editor/Barron’s Asia

William Pesek is executive editor at Barron’s Asia, based in Tokyo, and writes columns on economics, politics, markets and social issues throughout the Asia-Pacific region, and author of the 2014 book "Japanization: What the World Can Learn from Japan's Lost Decades." Prior to that, he was Bloomberg View’s Asia columnist. His journalism awards include the 2010 Society of American Business Editors and Writers prize for commentary. Pesek's columns have appeared in the International Herald Tribune, the Sydney Morning Herald, the New York Post, the Straits Times, the Japan Times and many other publications around the world. He began his journalism career writing for the American Banker and Bond Buyer newspapers. He also worked for Dow Jones Newswires in Washington and New York, where he wrote the daily credit markets column for the Wall Street Journal. Pesek earned a bachelor's degree in business journalism from Bernard M. Baruch College-City University of New York.

Lee, Ki Hwan
Professor/Korea Maritime and Ocean University

Dr. Ki Hwan Lee is currently a professor of corporate finance at Department of Shipping Management, Korea Maritime and Ocean University in Busan, Korea. He is also the director of Global Ship Finance Expert Training Program funded by Ministry of Ocean and Fishery Affairs and Korea Shipowners’ Association. He serves as an outside director of KT Submarine Co. and an outside auditor of APEC Climate Center. He served as the dean of academic affairs and the dean of College of International Studies at KMOU. Before joining KMOU in 1995, he also worked for Korea Development Institute form 1982 to 1994. He also served as a member of Management Evaluation Committee of public enterprises between 2003 and 2010. In addition, he has served as a member of several committees of Busan Metropolitan City Government since 1996. He was a president of Korea Association of Financial Engineering and has also served as a director or an editor of several finance related academic associations since 1996.
He received his Ph.D. from Manchester Business School, University of Manchester in 1993. His recent research areas include ship finance, IPOs, venture capital and entrepreneurship. In particular, he published many papers on the performance of venture capital-backed IPOs in the journals such as the Korean Management Review, Korea Venture Management Review, Korean Journal of Financial Management. He is recently focusing on ship finance research.
 
 
Kim, Chang Soo

Professor Kim received his PhD in economics from Rutgers University in the U.S. He has been a professor of international economics at Pusan National University since 1992. He served PNU as Dean of Graduate School of International Studies, Dean of Continuing Education, Dean of PNU International and at other capacities. He also served Korea Association of International Trade and Commerce as President for two years. He created and led PNU’s Busan Center for International Finance as Director from 2009 until recently.

Lim, Jung Wook

Jungwook Lim is the managing director of Startup Alliance Korea, a non-profit organization founded in 2013 to foster Korean startup ecosystem by connecting entrepreneurs, startups, tech companies, and the government. Jungwook spent time working in Silicon Valley and Boston where he was the head of global business for Daum and the CEO of Lycos. 
After several years of experience in high tech entrepreneurial environment, he moved to Seoul and established the Startup Alliance to share his knowledge and experience to help local startups in global settings. Although his skillset is vast, his greatest expertise is in IT technology and business perspectives in Silicon Valley and Japan. He also has an extensive social capital in IT industry in Silicon Valley, Japan and Korea. 
Before his career as internet executive, he was a newspaper journalist in Korea. We worked at Chosun Ilbo, Korea’s largest newspaper for almost 10 years. While there, he covered Korea’s IT industry as a business writer. He also worked as director of Chosun.com, an online newspaper arm of Chosun Ilbo, managed online newsroom. He also established and became the CEO of the Chosun Ilbo JNS which operated Japanese online edition of the newspaper. 
He is also well known blogger and influential Twitterer in Korea who has over 11k Twitter followers. He co-authored the book, 'iPad revolution'(2010) and translated 'Inside Apple'(2012) into Korean version. His columns frequently appear in various newspapers and magazines in Korea. 
Jungwook holds an MBA degree from the Walter A. Haas School of Business, University of California, Berkeley, and earned a B.A. in Business Administration from the Hankuk University of Foreign Studies.

Park, Jae Woong

Park Jae Woong (JW) is Managing Director and Co-Head of Financial Institutions Asia in ING Bank N.V. JW is currently based in Hong Kong and responsible for global banking relationship with financial institution clients in North Asian markets including China, Hong Kong, Japan, Korea, Macao, Mongolia and Taiwan. 
JW joined ING Bank Korea as Head of Financial Institutions in January 2008 and was Head of Financial Institutions in Standard Chartered Bank (SCB) Korea until 2007, which he joined as a corporate credit analyst in 1989. In 2005, SCB acquired Korea First Bank. During the integration, JW was appointed as the acting CEO in charge of the SCB Korea branch integration process till successful completion in November 2005. JW has also experiences of working in manufacturing companies during 1986 - 1989. 
JW graduated from Kyung Hee University with history major. He later took MBA from Korea University. And he further studied at Henley Management College in UK. He is married with two sons and personal interests include mountain trekking, golf and badminton.
