Yung-Jue Bang Chairman, Department of Internal Medicine/Seoul National University College of Medicine & Hospital
Professor Bang, Professor of Medical Oncology, is the Chairman of Department of Internal Medicine of Seoul National University College of Medicine. He graduated from Seoul National University College of Medicine in 1979. He is certified in the specialties of internal medicine and hematology/medical oncology. He has been working for Seoul National University College of Medicine since 1986. He was Director of Cancer Research Institute of Seoul National University from 2000 to 2006. He was the President of the Korean Cancer Study Group from 2006 to 2008. He was the Chairman, Board of Directors of the Korean Association for Clinical Oncology from 2008 to 2100. He is the Director of Clinical Trials Center of Seoul National University Hospital and the vice-President of Korean National Enterprise for Clinical Trials. Dr. Bang has co-authored more than 270 papers in SCI-indexed international journals including New England Journal of Medicine and Lancet. He is primarily interested in the development of new anticancer therapeutics, both clinical and translational, especially in gastric cancer. He is the Principal Investigator of a number of international clinical trials including ToGA study, CLASSIC study, and SHINE study. | |
