Financial News annually hosts the Seoul International Food Forum to develop
the Korean food industry and globalize K-food, celebrating the 9th anniversary this year.
The theme of the year goes, 'Opportunities for K-food in the post-COVID-19 era.'
As the post-COVID-19 era is about to start with vaccination, Korean food companies seek ways
to maintain the popularity of K-food. The global stay-at-home trend amid the pandemic last year
allowed Korean dumplings, instant noodles, and tuna cans to spread around the globe.
It is time to think about how to widespread and continue such popularity in the new normal.
There must be a strategy to improve the dignity of K-food and guide the global trends.
Moreover, the pet food market is growing in diversity because there are over 15 million pets
around the nation. Besides various products for different animal species, companies are introducing premium products for nutritional health. The export volume of pet food was doubled last year.
Accordingly, this year’s forum prepared a stage to look at global food strategies
for the post-COVID-19 era and special sessions on the excellence of K-food and the pet food market.
The food forum will take place at JW Marriott Hotel this year, welcoming the Age of Gangnam.
The food exhibition outside the event hall has been cancelled because of COVID-19.
Quarantine measures such as body temperature measurement will be taken to ensure safety.
