Hun-Soo Kim Professor, Department of Finance & Insurance/Soonchunhyang University
Professor Hunsoo Kim is the Dean of the Global Business School at SoonChunHyang University in Korea and since 1996 he has been the professor of the Finance and Insurance Department at SoonChunHyang. Before joining university he was a researcher fellow of Korea Insurance Development Institute. Professor Kim also served a visiting researcher at the Georgia State University (2006~2007) and at the Korea Insurance Development Institute (2004~2005) and He also has been an international faculty of the Singapore College of Insurance.
Professor Kim' research interests lie at the intersection of insurance public policies and insurance firm's competitiveness. His current interests are optimal financial regulations on insurance business, the social solidity of insurance consumers, optimal market conduct regulations and efficient reinsurance mechanism. He has published in academic and policy journals including the Korean Insurance Journal, the Journal of Insurance and Finance, the Journal of Risk Management, the Korean Journal of Financial Management, Korean Social Security Studies, the Geneva Papers on Risk and Insurance issues and Practice, and Risk Management and Insurance Review. He co-authored the Evolution and Future of Health Insurance the Evolution and Future of Pension, Case Studies in Insurance Business.
Professor Kim served as an external director of ECMiner(1999~2000) and Allianz Life Insurance Company of Korea (2007~2012) He has been a advisor of Financial Supervisory Service and Financial Supervisory Commission (Financial Development and Review Committee, Insurance Fraud Control Committee) and Ministry of Employment and Labor (Estimation Committee of Industrial Accident Compensation Insurance). Hunsoo Kim was an member of Advisory Board Member of Kookmin Bank.
Professor Hunsoo Kim is currently the president of the Korea Risk Management Society and is the ex-president and a founding member of the Asia-Pacific Risk and Insurance Association (APRIA). He also has been an member of Korea Insurance Academic Society, the Korean Social Security Association, Korea Fiance Association and Korea Financial Management Association. Professor Kim is the Past Chair of the Social Insurance Committee of Korean Insurance Academy. He is currently the co-chair of the Korea Forum of International Association of Insurance Supervisors. Professor Hunsoo Kim's doctoral and master's degrees are in Risk Management and Insurance from the Georgia State University in the US. He was graduated from Pusan National University in Korea. | |

Gary R. Aluise Senior Advisor, International Operations/LIMRA
Aluise, who joined LIMRA-LOMA in 2001, rose to lead the company’s overall international businesses in Asia, Latin America, Caribbean and Oceania as its senior vice president and managing director. He has a 38-year background in the insurance industry. He is credited with the transformation of LIMRA’s and LOMA’s international businesses into a contemporary and integral part of the global financial services industry. As of September 1, 2013, Aluise serves the company as a senior advisor.
Aluise began his career as a producer with MetLife and then assumed field management roles of increasing responsibility. In 1990, Aluise was appointed senior director of sales for MetLife’s International Operations responsible for Asia. In this role, he was charged with launching multiple distribution systems, including agency, brokerage, direct marketing, and bancassurance in MetLife’s portfolio of Asian businesses.
Prior to this position, Aluise served as recruiting director for the southwest territory in the U.S. Aluise was then named corporate director of MetLife’s domestic field training group, which was responsible for design and delivery of training for the company’s field managers and producers. He has served industry associations in many officer-level capacities and has written numerous industry-related articles for various publications.
Aluise and his wife Lia are residents of Ocean View, Delaware and South Hutchinson Island, Florida. He is a graduate of Villanova University, and has attended executive education courses at the Wharton School of Business, University of Pennsylvania, and at Harvard Law School. He spends 3-4 months in Asia each year traveling to consult with senior industry executives and government officials on the issues of the day. | |

Robin Peters Director, Financial Services Practice/Ernst & Young
Robin is a Director in EY's UK Financial Services practice with responsibility for Insurance and Investments sector development. He contributes to EY thought leadership on the UK life and pensions sector and is a regular presenter on Insurance distribution trends at industry events in UK and continental Europe. As well as experience of the UK Insurance sector that spans a period of more than 20 years, he has worked in numerous international strategy development and general management roles across several industries. Immediately prior to joining EY he was Business Finance and Strategy Director for a leading UK life and pensions provider.

Jung-Hoon Park Director, Insurance Division/Financial Services Commission
Prior to assuming this current position in April 2013, he was Director of the International Finance Division from 2012 to March 2013, Director of Public Fund Planning Team at the Secretariat to the Public Fund Oversight Committee from 2011 to February 2012, and Director of the International Financial Institutions Reform Division at the Presidential Committee for the G20 Summit in 2010.
Previously, from 2007 to 2010, he worked at the Asian Development Bank. As a Risk Management Specialist and Private Sector Development Specialist at the ADB, he assisted the ASEAN Capital Markets Forum (ACMF) to develop an implementation plan, which was presented to, and endorsed by the ASEAN Finance Ministers in April 2009 and promoted ASEAN exchange alliance by providing technical assistance.
Mr. Park also served the Ministry of Finance and Economy as Senior Deputy Director of the Financial Policy Bureau from 2003 to 2005; and Office of the President as Director of the National Policy Assistant Secretary from 2005 to 2006.
From 2000 to 2002, he worked as an associate at the Debt Capital Markets (DCM) at the Salomon Smith Barney; and as a Short-term Consultant at the World Bank while studying MBA at the Kellogg School of Management, Northwestern University.
Mr. Park began his public service in 1992 as a deputy director of Clearance Bureau at the Korea Customs Service then served the Financial Policy Bureau at the Ministry of Finance and Economy from 1998 to 2000.

In this role David is responsible for the delivery and execution of Swiss Re’s retail solutions and alternative distribution strategy across Asia.
